Iranian minister talks railway, roads development in Iran

About 2,000 wagons will be produced in the railway sector of Iran in the current Iranian year (began from March 20, 2020), said Mohammad Eslami, Minister of Road and Urban Development, Trend reports citing ministry.

According to Eslami, in addition, the Miyane-Bostan Abad railway project is expected to be completed.

Eslami added that the railway will reduce the distance between Tehran and Tabriz by more than 114 kilometers.

The minister said that more than 1,000 kilometers of rural roads will be built in the road sector.

Eslami added that as for the housing sector, 400,000 apartments will be built under the national housing project.

The length of the Miyane-Bostan Abad-Tabriz railway is about 203 kilometers. About 132 kilometers of it run between Miyane-Bostan Abad and 70 kilometers lay between Bostan Abad-Tabriz. This railway is considered to connect Iran to Europe.

At the same time, this railway will play a major role in the transportation and transit of products for trade with neighboring countries.
