Some 39.7 tons of milk and dairy products were exported through customs of Mazandaran province in northern Iran in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
According to report, the value of exported dairy products exceeded $114 million.
Dairy products were mainly exported to Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
In total, Iran exported 452,000 tons of dairy products worth $494 million last Iranian year. Mazandaran province ranks first in the export of dairy products.
Last Iranian year, the country exported 133.9 million tons of products worth $41.3 billion. The top five importing countries include China, Iraq, Turkey, the UAE and Afghanistan.
