Turkmenistan expands production of agricultural crops, meat and dairy products

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 6

Turkmenistan has expanded production of agricultural crops, meat and dairy products, Trend reports with reference to Zolotoy Vek (Golden Age) newspaper.

Kerven Khizmaty farm, which has 35 hectares of land for potatoes in Turkmenbashi district, intends to harvest at least 140 centners of potatoes from each hectare, the report said.

The area for sowing crops has been increased to 4,000 hectares in Dashoguz region. It is planned to receive 56,000 tons of potatoes there.

In addition, Dovran Esenov who is a member of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Turkmenistan has mastered 578 hectares of land for potatoes and intends to collect more than 8,000 tons of the product.

As reported, a cattle farm is being built at Jeyhun association of the Gubadag district. This farm is designed for the maintenance of 200 heads of cattle.

In addition, forage and different kinds of crops will be planted on 100 hectares of the farm's territory. The enterprise will purchase equipment for the supply of environmentally friendly meat and dairy products.
