BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 6

By Matanat Nasibova – Trend:

Garadagh glass factory, the largest glass-producing enterprise in Azerbaijan, plans to increase the export potential of its products in the medium perspective, director of the factory Fakhraddin Guliyev told Trend.

According to the director, the enterprise currently exports the glass products only to Georgia.

“This year, about a million glass bottles were exported to the Georgian market. During the year, next supplies of the glass products are planned, which depends on the orders of our customers in the neighboring country. Last year, the factory signed a contract with Coca-Cola Bottlers Georgia, under which 2.6 million glass bottles for Coca-Cola and Fanta drinks have been delivered to Georgia to date,” Guliyev said.

He also noted that the enterprise receives orders for the supply of glass containers to customers working in the domestic market.

“We are talking about large enterprises such as Azersun and Ganja winery, as well as production companies - AzGranata, Sirab, Slavyanka and others,” the director said.

According to him, presently, a complex of measures is being taken to improve the quality of manufactured products and increase the future export potential of the enterprise.

The Garadagh glass factory, founded in 2018, is one of the enterprises of the Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation.

The factory, equipped with modern Italian equipment, is located on a 22-hectare-area. It has the biggest production potential in the region.

Most of the raw materials are imported from Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and other countries. The factory's production capacity is from 80 million to 85 million glass containers.
