Licenses in Iran's Markazi Province announced

About 251 industrial and manufacturing enterprises worth 122.8 trillion rials (about $2.92 billion) were licensed in the Markazi Province of Iran last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), said Head of Markazi Province Industry Mine and Trade Organization Javad Hasani, Trend reports citing the organization's official website.

According to Hasani, more than 2,452 people were employed in these enterprises.

"In total, 299 production and industrial licenses worth 134.9 trillion rials [about $3.21 billion] were issued in the Markazi Province last Iranian year," he said.

Hasani added that the enterprises mainly operate in the area of metals, non-metals, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and foodstuffs, chemical electricity and electronics industries.

The official said that licenses were issued to establish 711 industrial and manufacturing enterprises with an investment of 47.8 trillion rials (about $20.1 billion).

"As many as 100.3 trillion rials [about $2.38 billion] are required for the commissioning of these facilities in the current Iranian year [began March 20, 2020]. About 17.4 thousand people will be employed with the commissioning of these projects," he said.

Hasani said that 589 applications for loans were studied last Iranian year and 374 applications for loans worth 27.9 trillion rials (about $665 million) were approved.

The official added that in total, banks in the Markazi Province issued 22.1 trillion rials (about $528 million) in loans.
