Iran can to produce up to one million coronavirus testing kits next week, if the Health Ministry approves the samples, said managing director of a producing company at University of Tehran's Science and Technology Park.
"Parsian Seismograph is cooperating with a Turkish company to produce testing kits, the international license has been issued for these kits," said Ali Seyfpour Abolhasani, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"All the work is being done in Turkey. Our company obtained basic material from Germany's Merck KGaA company via cooperation with the Turkish company," Abolhasani added.
"The chemical materials in the kit will be exposed to mucus and change color that identify the infection. At the moment, two models of testing kits are being produced, and they show the result in less than seven minutes," the managing director said.
"Iran can not have relations with the German company due to the sanctions, so we could not directly purchase chemical material from them; hence, issues related to money transfer are addressed in Turkey," he added.
