Agricultural products worth 976.7 million manat ($574.5 million) were produced in Azerbaijan from January through March 2020, Trend reports on April 17 referring to the report of the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
“The agricultural production grew by 3.6 percent from January through March 2020 compared to the same period of 2019,” the State Statistics Committee said.
The cost of fruits and vegetables produced in the country increased by 3.4 percent in 1Q2020 compared to the same period of 2019 and amounted to 46.8 million manat ($27.5 million).
The cost of livestock products increased by 3.2 percent from January through March 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, amounting to 929.9 million manat ($547 million).
In 2019, the cost of agricultural products produced in the country amounted to 7.8 billion manat ($4.6 billion), fruits and vegetables - 3.7 billion manat ($2.2 billion), and livestock products - 4.086 billion manat ($2.4 billion).
