Turkmenistan announces number of transactions at State Commodity & Raw Materials Exchange

Turkmenistan has announced a number of transactions at its State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan State News Agency.

The total amount of registered transactions in both foreign currency and Turkmen manat was 16.

Entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan purchased cotton yarn for a total of more than $562,000.

The product was also purchased by entrepreneurs from the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and China. The amount of these transactions exceeded 5.316 million manat ($1.5 million).

Turkmenistan's entrepreneurs purchased high-density polyethylene and polypropylene for a total amount of more than 30.723 million manat ($8.7 million).

The state commodity exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important agency of state regulation of export-import operations.
