The biggest producer of building materials, located in Azerbaijan’s Masalli district - Masalli Brick Factory - is considering the opportunities to expand the range of building materials, namely, bricks.

"Presently, the factory produces 500 tons of bricks daily,” a source in the Masalli brick factory told Trend. “It is planned to increase this figure up to 550 tons per day in the first half of the year. By the end of the year, it is planned to increase the production volumes up to 600 tons. In general, the factory’s capacity allows increasing the production volumes up to 700 tons or more.”

“The factory plans to increase the production of single bricks as there is the great demand for this type of building materials,” the source said. “The factory also plans to increase export potential. As of 2019, the export volumes of the factory amounted to 2,500 tons of bricks. The bricks were exported to Georgia and will be also exported in the second half of this year.”

The factory operates at full capacity without downtime. The production volumes are mainly based on orders within the country and from abroad.

The Masalli Brick Factory has been operating in Azerbaijan since 1983.
