By Matanat Nasibova - Trend:

Azerbaijan’s large pasta producer, Karmen factory, has increased its output by 25 percent since the beginning of 2020, Ilgar Ahmadov, marketing director of the factory told Trend.

According to him, since the beginning of this year, the factory has been operating at full capacity, and in three months, it has upgraded its production line.

"As a result of this work, the product quality has significantly improved, which in turn positively impacted on the sales. In the first quarter of 2020, the figure climbed up to 25-30 percent,” he noted.

"Currently, the factory produces 55-60 tons of pasta products per day. Last year, this figure was approximately 40-45 tons per day. Meanwhile, the capacity of the enterprise allows producing 80-85 tons of products per day," said Ahmadov.

The director added that this year, the enterprise increased the production of Bucatini spaghetti, which is produced via a separate production line.

“The daily production of Bucatini spaghetti amounted to 25 tons, while in 2019 this figure was 18-20 tons per day,” he added. “At present, the factory produces 13 varieties of pasta products, and the technologies used in the production meet quality standards, so there is no need to purchase new equipment abroad.”

The products of Karmen LLC have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents.

The factory uses German, Turkish and Italian equipment.
