Iran to offer shares of railway projects on stock exchange
TEHRAN, Iran, May 11
Iran's government will offer shares of Tehran-Mashad railway electrification project on the stock market, said Transport and Urban Development Deputy Minister Abbas Khatibi, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
"A total of 12 railway and road projects are expected to be financed by the capital market, " he said.
Eslami said the negotiations with Iran's Securities and Exchange Organization have been going on regarding the capital market financing, since there has been good turnout there.
"Railway projects have the priority in the country and it has been predicted in the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020) budget plan that there is a need for financial resources in this regard," said Khatibi.
"The railway projects that will be offered at the stock exchange include Shiraz-Bushehr, Zahedan – Mashad and Isfahan – Ahvaz railway," he said.
"The development of these projects requires considerable resources that can not be provided by public budget. The construction of Chabahar – Zahedan railway will be financed by the National Development Fund," he said.
Iran is also plan to provide shares of house construction projects on the stock exchange.
