Agricultural complex for oilseeds processing launched in Kazakhstan's Taldykorgan

The Zhetysu Magiko agricultural complex began its operations on the territory of Kazakhstan’s Taldykorgan industrial zone, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.

The plant of the complex will be processing oilseeds of soy, corn, rapeseed, and sunflower to produce vegetable oils. The project was implemented as part of the state program of industrial and innovative development of Kazakhstan.

The plant's capacity is up to 500 tons of oilseeds per day. The plant has equipment of the German production of the last generation, which uses extrusion technology for seeds processing and allows to improve the products quality.

Implementation of the project allowed to create 50 new jobs, whereas in the future the number of employees is to be increased to 350.

The agricultural complex will be selling the produced goods in Kazakhstan. In the future, the possibility of exporting goods will be considered.

There are plans to build a feed mill with a capacity of 20 tons per hour and a granary for 50,000 tons in 2021. In 2024, the construction of a deep oil refining and bottling workshop in commercial containers, a margarine production workshop, and a mayonnaise production workshop is planned.

The Taldykorgan industrial zone operates in Kazakhstan’s Almaty region. It was created to develop the food, chemical industry and the construction industry.

The total area of ​​the industrial zone allocated for investment projects implementation is 55 hectares. To date, two projects are underway at the Taldykorgan industrial zone: the construction of a meat factory and the construction of a plant for the production of pectin and dry feed. The commissioning of these projects is planned for 2021.
