First Uzbek-Spain joint venture registered in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan plans to create a number of joint ventures with Spanish Nikami agricultural and industrial enterprise, Trend reports with reference to Dunyo News Agency.

Representatives of the Samarkand Region held online negotiations with the head of the Nikami company Norberto Carina organized via a videoconference with support from the embassy of Uzbekistan in Spain.

According to the memorandum between the City Hall of Samarkand and the Nikami Enterprise company signed in 2019, it was planned to create a number of joint ventures in Bulungur and Kattakurgan regions of the country, said the embassy. Under the agreement, it was decided to open the first joint venture in Bulungur district of Samarkand region.

The first Uzbek-Spanish joint venture Nikami Fenix Tech was registered in the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan on May 11, 2020.

During the videoconference, the sides agreed to establish three more joint ventures for construction of mini power wind station using water turbine technologies; start production of modern high-protein fodder for fish industry; as well as launch production of metal structures for assembly of modern greenhouse structures in Uzbekistan.

Nikami Enterprise​ will be also involved in implementation of two investment projects in Uzbekistan - construction of mini power wind station using water turbine technologies and creation of production of modern high-protein fodder for fish industry.
