About 67 trillion rials (about $1.59 billion) will be invested under Iran's national housing plan in Zanjan province (western Iran) in the current Iranian year (began March 20, 2020), said the governor of Zanjan province Fathollah Haghighi, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Haghighi added that regular meetings and inspections will be held in connection with the investment.
“The national housing project is one of the main priorities in Zanjan province. Therefore, all the details of this project must be investigated and applied,” he said.
The governor said that the construction of welfare and entertainment facilities, schools and other buildings should be carried out in parallel with the construction of apartments under the national housing plan.
So far, 1.6 million people have been registered in Iran under the national housing plan. The plan envisages providing citizens with land or housing or providing them with loans to buy apartments.
