Russia reveals volume of agricultural products’ export to Georgia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23

Russia’s exports of agricultural products to Georgia in the first quarter of 2020 amounted to 177,200 tons, Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) told Trend.

According to Rosselkhoznadzor, in monetary terms, this export reached $63 million.

"Grain crops prevail in the exports, including wheat and meslin (83,300 tons), corn (38,500 tons)), cereal grain (1,900 tons), malt (1,500 tons) ), sunflower seeds (1,500 tons)," Rosselkhoznadzor.

As the company noted, this is followed by sunflower oil (8,600 tons), sugar (6,700 tons), breadcrumbs (3,900 tons), pasta (3,400 tons), onions, garlic (3,000 tons), wheat flour (2,500 tons), bread (2,400 tons), chocolate (1,900 tons), products for making sauces and sauces (1,900 tons).

"In slightly smaller volumes, Russia supplies barley, animal feed, margarine, confectionery, dairy products, as well as a number of vegetable crops (carrots, turnips, melons) to Georgia," Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision said.
