Expert talks advantages of Iran's housing trade done via Mercantile Exchange

TEHRAN, Iran,May 26

Trend:

Adding housing to Iran's Mercantile Exchange would help establish transparency on prices, based on supply and demand, capital expert Hamid Mirmoeni said, Trend reports via IRNA.

Mirmoeni believes this opportunity will create good options for financing mass housing projects, so within the Mercantile Exchange such a tool is a 'win-win' for both buyers and mass housing constructors.

"Selling houses on the exchange would create a chance to attract micro investments and reduce prices, which would lead to stability in the housing sector," he added.

Mirmoeni said that the current conditions allow for ideal managing of the housing market via the Mercantile Exchange, and this would help to eliminate share of dealers, who view houses only as investments.

"People can have access to houses via the exchange, and this would be more economical and facilitate supply and demand with better prices," he added.

Housing market trade in Iran is in recession since February due to coronavirus spread. Investment in Iran's housing market grew by devaluation of national currency, that led to irregular rise of prices.
