Ventures which will operate on the territory of six industrial parks that are to be commissioned in the Almaty Industrial Zone in Kazakhstan will be fully launched before the end of 2020, Almaty Industrial Zone representative told Trend.

Earlier this month, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Infrastructural Development said that a total of six smaller industrial parks will be commissioned in the Almaty Industrial Zone in Kazakhstan in 2020.

The overall industrial area of the parks will be 28,000 square meters, where about 70 industrial ventures will be set up. A total of over 700 new jobs will be created as a result of the parks' creation.

“Currently, the contractors are concluding engineering and design work and are planning to begin the construction soon. The contractors are KazStroyTrade LLP, D&J Industries & Logistic LLP, Atrix-Stroy LLP, Metall con LLP, Ala Estate LLP and ADS Industries LLP,” the official said.

The official said that the production facilities at the parks will be provided to small and medium businesses (SMEs) on preferential terms.

“The advantages of implementing projects in industrial parks is the use of empty production and administrative premises in the city; assistance in creation and development of business in areas with low business activity (new jobs, taxes); and preferential financing rates of 2-7 percent,” the official said.

A total of 56 companies have expressed interest in taking part in small industrial parks already out of 305 which were contacted with this goal in mind.
