The trade relations between Afghanistan and Iran can develop if bilateral potential is taken into account, Acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Mohammad Hanif Atmar said, Trend reports citing ISNA.
He made the remark at a joint press conference in Tehran with Minister of Energy of Iran Reza Ardakanian.
Atmar said that a number of issues will be discussed at the meeting of the joint economic commission between Afghanistan and Iran, including the purchase of gas and electricity from Iran.
The acting minister noted that specialized research will be conducted with the participation of international experts in the field of environmental protection, restoration of lakes and rivers.
“Afghanistan is interested in developing trade relations with Iran,” the acting minister stressed.
