The amount of exports of about 350 knowledge-based companies in Iran in 2019 stood at more than $ 741 million, Mir-Aboutaleb Badri, Iran's Trade Promotion Organizatio's deputy director for marketing Mir-Aboutaleb Badri said, Trend reports via IRNA.
"Improving the export infrastructure of knowledge-based companies and boosting the export potential of their products are among the main goals of the organization in the sanctions era," he said.
Emphasizing the export capacities of knowledge-based companies, he noted that the largest exports were carried out to Iraq ($152 million), Russia ($70 million), Afghanistan ($61 million) and Syria ($56 million).
Badri noted that the largest amount of exports, based on the value of products, were chemicals ($186 million), medicine ($152 million), minerals and metal products ($99 million), information technology and digital content ($50 million) and polymer materials ($48 million).
