Azerbaijan's biggest industrial enterprise suspends operations

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 7

Baki Insaat Senaye, the biggest industrial enterprise in Azerbaijan, which is engaged in production of metal products of wide range, has suspended its work for a while, Yunis Mehdiyev, head of the marketing department at the company told Trend.

According to him, the plant operations have been suspended due to major and routine repairs.

“We expect to complete the repairs within a month. Due to the situation associated with the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, some of the enterprise’s plans have also been revised,” Mehdiyev said. “At the same time, due to unresolved financial issues, the plant has not yet launched production of a new one type of product - metal sheets. The issue of state investment in this project also remains open.”

As he noted, the plant produces 8,000 tons of industrial products per month, but last month this indicator declined to 7,100 tons.

“In the future, the enterprise plans to make up for the production so that restore stable output volumes,” he added.

Baki Insaat Senaye plant is located in Keshla settlement of Baku. It was founded in 2004. The main profile of the company is producing steel pipes of various modifications and parameters, also producing corners, shifts, nail, and wire from black metal and iron products in quad, round and in other numerous shapes.

The products from black metal are being manufactures in many varieties and dimensions by high tech spreading method.
