Turkmenistan and Russia can expand cooperation, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
Issues of development of trade and economic relations were discussed by representatives of the business circles of Turkmenistan and Russia’s Saint Petersburg.
At the meeting, the Turkmen side was represented by the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Ministry of Industry and Construction, as well as other ministries and departments interested in exporting their products to the city of Saint Petersburg.
From the Russian side, the meeting was attended by the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of state structures and subordinate institutions, a number of companies specializing in the industry and production of building materials, equipment, radio electronics, telecommunications and measuring equipment, etc.
The meeting was also attended by the trade representative of Turkmenistan in Russia and a representative of the Embassy of Russia in Turkmenistan.
The parties noted that the experience of interaction between Turkmenistan and Saint Petersburg creates all the prerequisites for expanding bilateral cooperation.
The representatives of Turkmenistan held presentations of their capabilities in the supply of construction materials, textile products, as well as a wide range of goods from private manufacturers.
The entrepreneurs from Saint Petersburg, in particular Avangard, the Center for Entrepreneurship Development and Support, and other business structures of the city also made proposals for export.
The participants of the meeting spoke in favor of continuing the practice of regular negotiations, which allow specifying the vectors of trade and economic partnership.
