Factory put into operation in Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan Province

A factory of Iranshahr Baft Baluch Company has been put into operation in Sistan and Baluchestan Province (southeastern Iran), Iran's Acting Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Hossein Modarres Khiabani at an event dedicated to the commissioning of these enterprises, Trend reports referring to the ministry.

The acting minister emphasized that Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) has resumed operations at Iranshahr Baft Baluch Company.

Modarres Khiabani added that in the first stage, 150 people were employed with the spending of more than 2 trillion rials (about $47.6 million) and 4,500 tons of various types of cotton yarn will be produced annually.

According to him, the factory will operate in the area of weaving, production of cotton yarn and printing products.

By the end of last year (March 20, 2020), there were 198 cotton yarn enterprises operating in Iran and their annual production volume was 360,000 tons.

It is planned to put into operation 20 enterprises by the end of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021) that will produce 44,000 tons of cotton yarn a year. About 20 trillion rials (about $476 million) will be invested in these enterprises and 3,850 people will be employed.
