Water and electricity facilities to be commissioned in Iran's Hormozgan Province

As many as 20 water and electricity facilities worth 26.6 trillion rials (about $635 million) will be commissioned in the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) on July 16, Trend report citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to the report, 21.3 trillion rials (about $ 507 million) of the funding was provided by the private sector and the rest were provided at the expense of state reserves.

The report said some of the envisaged plans include to increase the production capacity of the steam unit of Bandar Abbas Thermal Power Plant to 115 megawatts, and increase the production capacity of Qeshm Thermal Power Plant to 170 megawatts.

Some 35 water and electricity facilities have been commissioned in 13 provinces of Iran since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020).

More than 113 trillion rials (about $2.69 billion) have been spent on the commissioning of these facilities.
