Kazakhstan’s refining gold producer makes dividend payments to shareholders

Kazakhstan’s Altyntau Kokshetau company has made dividend payments to its shareholders, Trend reports with reference to the company’s report.

The report was submitted to and published by Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).

Thus, the overall value of paid dividends amounted to $270 million, i.e. $675 per share. The list of the shareholders eligible for receiving dividends was concluded as of July 8, 2020.

Altyntau Kokshetau JSC is a Kazakhstan’s company concerned with extraction of gold ore and its further processing to get refining gold.

The company is an Akmola region-based subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s KazZinc company, which is a major fully integrated zinc producer with considerable copper, precious metals and lead credits. The company’s core operations are in Kazakhstan; most are in East-Kazakhstan region.

The company was established in 1997 through the merger of East Kazakhstan's three main non-ferrous metal companies: Ust-Kamenogorsk Lead and Zinc Complex, Leninogorsk Polymetallic Complex and Zyryanovsk Lead Complex.

All three producers were majority-owned by the Government of Kazakhstan. The controlling block of shares in Kazzinc has been sold to the private sector and Glencore International AG became the company's main investor.
