France became the largest importer of Uzbek products among the EU member states in the first half of 2020, Trend reports referring to nuz.uz news agency.
In general, the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan and member states of the EU has declined by 3.3 percent in the first half of 2020 compared to the same period last year and slightly exceeded $1.7 billion.
Germany accounted for 20.4 percent of Uzbek trade turnover, followed by Lithuania (12.2 percent), Italy (10.1 percent), Czechia (9.6 percent), Latvia (9.3 percent) and France (8.5 percent).
In the structure of Uzbek exports, France (34.8 percent), Germany (14.4 percent) and Poland (12.5 percent) accounted for the largest volume of supplies in the first half of 2020.
Uzbekistan has recorded a positive trade balance only with France, among largest exporters of Uzbek production in EU.
