Iran discloses number of enterprises licensed to commission in Razavi Khorasan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 29

As many as 144 industrial enterprises were licensed to commission in the Razavi Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran) during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 20-July 21, 2020), said Mohammad Reza Mesforush, the Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Razavi Khorasan Province, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

The chairman stressed that 6.14 trillion rials (about $140 million) were spent on the construction of these enterprises.

He added that 2,150 people were provided with jobs by issuance of this number of licenses in the province.

Mesforush noted that the most licenses were issued for the commissioning of enterprises in the mining sector. Thus, 1.93 trillion rials (about $46 million) has been invested in the area of metal extraction. This accounted for 31.4 percent of all investments.

According to the chairman, 7 percent of licensed enterprises belong to Razavi Khorasan Province in terms of the number, 2 percent in terms of investment and 7 percent in terms of employment.
