Several industrial enterprises put into operation in Iran

Five large industrial and mining enterprises and warehouses have been put into operation in Iran's Fars today, Khuzestan and Mazandaran provinces, Trend reports citing IRINN.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Iran's Acting Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Hossein Modarres Khiabani and other officials attended the event dedicated commissioning of enterprises via videoconference.

According to the report, grain warehouses with a capacity of 40,000 tons in Darab county and 30,000 tons in Eqlid county of Fars Province (southwestern Iran), and an enterprise that produces 3,000 tons of sodium carbonate per year in Firuzabad county of Iran have been put into operation.

"An enterprise that will produce 450,000 tons of steel fittings and ingots a year has been put into operation in the Dezful county of Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran)," the report said.

In addition, an enterprise that will produce 300,000 square meters of MDF (Medium-density fibreboard) a year has been put into operation in the Behshahr county of Mazandaran Province (northern Iran), according to the report.

"In total, 56 trillion rials (about $1.33 billion) was spent on the commissioning of these enterprises and facilities, and more than 10,200 people were employed," the report noted.
