Large volume of potatoes, onions, garlic exported to Turkmenistan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 30

Some 26.5 million kilograms of potatoes were exported to Turkmenistan for a total amount of $5.9 million from January through May of 2020, Trend reports, citing the Eurasian Economic Commission’s statistics.

The main exporters were Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

The share of Kazakhstan in the amount of exported potatoes is $2.2 million, the share of Kyrgyzstan – $507,785, and the share of Russia – $3.1 million.

The same countries exported 3.2 million kilograms of onions and garlic to Turkmenistan, for a total amount of $279,312 from January through May.

According to the Eurasian Economic Commission’s statistics, Russia and Belarus exported a large volume of dairy products to Turkmenistan from January through May 2020.

Some 299,239 tons of milk and cream worth $705,643 were exported to Turkmenistan by aforesaid countries from January through May.

Belarus’ share from the above amount is $622,377, while Russia’s share $83,265.
