Greenhouses, refrigerator warehouses and grain elevators will be registered in the Electronic Agriculture Information System (EAIS) in Azerbaijan, according to the amendments to the ‘Regulation on the EAIS’, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture.
“President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a relevant decree, according to which greenhouses, refrigerator warehouses and grain elevators will be registered in EAIS. Information about grain elevators and refrigerator warehouses used for storing products supplied by farmers will be systematically entered into the EAIS,” the ministry said.
“Under the pandemic conditions, in order to make operational decisions in the field of economic policy and inform government bodies, it is important to include information in the appropriate electronic database and provide access to it for all relevant institutions,” said the ministry.
“In this regard, the following work will be provided: control over food stocks in the country and the adoption of preventive measures to reduce risks in this area; assessment of the level of operation of greenhouses, refrigerator warehouses and grain elevators existing in the country; conducting analyzes in this area; and in order to determine support measures, create a register of greenhouses, refrigerator warehouses and grain elevators in the EAIS, as well as provide systematic (monthly) reports through EAIS,” the agriculture ministry added.
