Kazakhstan's crude oil export volume to Russia down year-on-year

Kazakhstan has exported a total of 22,241 tons of crude oil and gas condensate to Russia over the period from Jan. through May 2020, Trend reports with reference to the statistics data of Eurasian Economic Commission.

The value of the exported oil and gas condensate amounted to $4.2 million. This is 35.9 percent less in volume, and 64.9 percent less in value compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Kazakhstan has exported petroleum products worth $30.6 million to Russia, which is 59 percent less than during the same period of last year.

Furthermore, Kazakhstan’s export of natural and liquefied gases to Russia stood at $70.7 million during the reporting period, which is 37 percent less than during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s electricity export to Russia amounted to 403.6 million kWh over the period of Jan. through May 2020, whereas electricity export value was $6.3 million. The volume decreased by 30.9 percent, whereas value decreased by 42.4 percent.

The total volume of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover amounted to $34.9 billion over the period from Jan. through May 2020 which indicates a decrease from $37.5 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export amounted to $22.3 billion during the reporting period of 2020 ($23.6 billion in the same period of 2019), whereas import amounted to $12.6 billion ($13.9 billion in 2019).
