Iran reveals number of enterprises to commission in Bushehr Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 8

Six large industrial enterprises will be put into operation in the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) in the current Iranian year (began from March 20, 2020), said Hossein Hosseini, chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Bushehr Province, Trend reports citing the organization.

The chairman emphasized that these enterprises are being built with an investment of 7.27 trillion rials (about $173 million) and 335 people will be employed after their commissioning.

Hosseini added that Bushehr Province accounts for a number of 200 industrial and mining enterprises planned to be commissioned in Iran in the current Iranian year.

"These enterprises will produce polystyrene and polycarbonate sheets, polymer products, various bags, polystyrene and polyethylene containers, various polymer acrylic rubbers, various industrial gases and filtration of drinking water," he said.

“According to the program of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran, about 200 large industrial and mining enterprises will be commissioned in Iran in the current Iranian year with an investment of 1.7 quadrillion rials [about $40.4 billion] and 41,000 people will be employed”, the chairman noted.

Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade plans to commission 4,000 industrial and mining enterprises by the end of the current government's term in office in August 2021.
