BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 9

By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

The products worth $5 billion have been exported to Iraq through Kermanshah Province (western Iran) over the past two years, chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Kermanshah Province Mohsen Darabi said at a meeting on the development of non-oil exports in the province, Trend reports citing organization’s website.

According to Darabi, more than half of Iran's non-oil exports to Iraq are exported through Kermanshah Province.

Darabi added that as for Kermanshah Province own production, 2 out of 77 cement plants in Iran are in the province.

"More than 30 million tons of cement is produced annually in Kermanshah Province. This means the province accounted for about 4.3 percent share in the Iranian economy," he said.

Iran exported about $9 billion worth of non-oil products in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).

In addition, Iran exported 6.44 million tons of products worth $1.96 billion to Iraq during the first four months of current Iranian year (March 20-July 21, 2020).
