Volume of exports via Iran's Yazd Province revealed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 13

More than 860,000 tons of products worth $103 million were exported through the customs of Yazd Province (central Iran) during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 20 - July 21, 2020), said Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the province Mohammad Reza Alamdar Yazdi, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

The chairman emphasized that the exported products during the reporting period via the province’s customs were mainly ceramics, steel products, hydrocarbon products, various wires, pipes and profiles, pistachios, glassware, molybdenum oxide, ferromolybdenum and construction materials.

“The products were primarily exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan, the UAE, Azerbaijan, Oman, Turkey and the Netherlands,” he added.

Yazdi noted that 11,000 tons of products worth $38 million were imported via the customs of the province within four months.

The chairman said that the imported products mainly included equipment of manufacturing enterprises, spare parts for equipment, electrical and electronic equipment, chemicals, cellulose and polymers.
