Turkmenistan sets tasks to obtain high grain yield

Turkmenistan has determined tasks to obtaining high grain yield, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

The tasks were set during a working meeting chaired by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and held via video link.

One of the tasks is the need to carry out sowing of winter crops. It is also necessary to ensure timely plowing and leveling of the fields allocated for wheat, the report said.

The need to comply with agrotechnical standards when carrying out work on cotton fields was also stressed.

It was noted that it is also necessary to ensure the flawless operation of agricultural machinery and equipment, including combines, seeders, vehicles, as well as receiving points and cotton gins.

In order to increase the efficiency of the agricultural sector, Turkmenistan purchases equipment of the latest modifications that is best suited to the soil and climate conditions of the country. Work is underway to digitalize agriculture and introduce advanced agricultural technologies in the country.
