The value of exports of products by Iranian startup companies exceeded $800 million in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), Director General of Center for International Science and Technology Development of Science and Technology Vice-Presidency Rouhollah Estiri told IRNA, Trend reports.
The director general stressed that Iranian startup companies have exported various products that include data exchange, application development, programming and ICT.
Estiri added that 400 Iranian startup companies have exported their products and at present, 1,500 startup companies in ICT sector are registered and operating in Iran.
“These companies mainly exported to Iraq, Russia, Afghanistan and Syria," he said.
The director general noted that in the current Iranian year (began March 20, 2020), Iran is planned to export the technology products to Austria, China and some countries around the Persian Gulf.
