Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Benelux countries (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg) held talks with representative of Russia’s New Wave LLC and President of Dutch Boumanfruit B.V. Anton Bouman, Trend reports citing Dunyo News Agency.
Earlier, the Dutch entrepreneur expressed his interest in working directly with farmers or exporting companies in Uzbekistan that have their own land plots where the products are grown, as it allows maintaining high quality and homogeneity of purchased products, planning future supplies, promptly resolving possible problems and disagreements.
This time, sides discussed issues of establishing export of Uzbek lemons to the Netherlands.
Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on supplying samples of new harvest of Uzbek lemons in early September 2020 and continuing negotiations to increase the volume of supplies.
Boumanfruit B.V. has its own refrigeration capacity of 3,500 tons. The annual turnover is about 25 million euros. Until recently, the company was one of the largest importers of citrus fruits in the Netherlands.
