As many as 630 people were employed in the industrial sector of the Semnan Province (northern Iran) during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 20-July 21, 2020), Deputy Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Semnan Province Faramarz Mahboubi said, Trend reports citing the organization’s portal.
According to Mahboubi, during the reporting period, the licenses were issued for the commissioning of 47 industrial enterprises with an investment of 1.4 trillion rials (about $33.3 million).
He added that so far, 375 industrial enterprises have been licensed to establish in the province. With an investment of 31 trillion rials (about $738 million), 7,900 people will be employed at these enterprises.
The deputy chairman emphasized that a total of 422 enterprises were licensed in Semnan Province.
Currently, there are about 1,700 industrial enterprises operating in Iran's Semnan Province.
About 58 trillion rials (about $1.38 billion) has been invested in these enterprises.
The enterprises employ 49,000 people.
