Turkmenistan develops rules for remotely selling goods

The Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan has developed rules for selling goods in a remote mode, Trend reports with reference to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

The following types of online stores can operate in Turkmenistan: an online store as an additional platform for a working store; which sells only from the supplier's warehouse on request, only through the site and having its own warehouse; which sells only through the site.

It is forbidden to sell alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, dietary supplements, weapons and ammunition, audio-visual works and phonograms in the online store, the report says.

The document contains general provisions for creating online Commerce, including advertising of goods, concluding a contract of sale of goods, the procedure for their delivery to the consumer, and it also specifies the rights of the consumer.

The rules apply to both legal entities, regardless of their organizational and legal form, and individual entrepreneurs.
