Three important enterprises in the industrial and mining sectors have been commissioned in Iran today on August 25 during the working week (August 23-29), Trend reports citing IRINN.
According to the report, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Acting Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Jafar Sargheini, and other officials attended the event via video conference.
“A total of 26.9 trillion rials (about $705 million) has been spent on the construction of these enterprises and as a result, 950 people were employed,” the report said.
A sponge iron plant has begun its operation in the Ardakan county of Yazd Province (central Iran).
“This plant can produce 960,000 tons of sponge iron a year. About 22.7 trillion rials (about $541 million) were spent on the construction of the plant and 500 people are currently employed,” the report added.
According to the report, a trailer truck plant has been put into operation at Shayan Diesel Sanat Pars Company in the Fars Province (southwestern Iran).
The plant will produce 3,000 trailer trucks a year. Over 1.2 trillion rials (about $28.5 million) have been spent on the construction of the plant and 100 people were employed, the report noted.
An enterprise for the production of gold bars has been commissioned in Qorveh county of Kurdistan Province. This enterprise will produce 3,000 kg of gold bars a year.
More than 3 trillion rials (about $71.4 million) has been invested in the establishment of the enterprise, which provided 350 people with jobs, according to the report.
As many as 63 commercial, industrial and mining enterprises have been commissioned in Iran with an investment of 230 trillion rials (about $5.47 billion) from June 12 to date (August 25).
