According to the committee, over the reporting period, foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and France amounted to $158.2 million (down 3.5 times compared to the same period of last year).

Meanwhile, the export of the Azerbaijani products to France made up $54.9 million against $399,100 from January through July 2019. Thus, the volume of products purchased by France from Azerbaijan was 7.2 times less than in the same period of last year.

The import of products from France to Azerbaijan dropped by almost 59.8 percent year-on-year, from $165.1 million to $103.3 million.

The export-import ratio in the foreign trade relations between the two countries shifted to imports of French products to Azerbaijan. So, from January through July 2020 the ratio of exports and imports was 0.6 and 1.75 percent respectively against 3.25 and 1.96 percent in the same period of last year.

Thus, the foreign trade balance of the two countries for the reporting period became negative and amounted to $48.4 million.
