The volume of export of fruits and vegetables of Uzbekistan during the period from January through July 2020, made up 831,200 tons, which is less than in the mentioned period of 2019 by 1.1 percent, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
Totally for the mentioned period Uzbekistan exported fruit and vegetable products for $499 million which is 35.9 percent less than in the corresponding period of 2019.
Uzbekistan exported 545,900 tons of vegetables worth $221.2 million, as well as 224,000 tons of fruits and berries worth $218.2 million.
The share of fruit and vegetable products in total exports was six percent.
Kazakhstan (29.9 percent), Russia (28 percent) and Kyrgyzstan (17.7 percent) accounted for the largest volume in value terms of fruit and vegetable exports.
Export of fruit and vegetable significantly decreased to such countries as Afghanistan (by 20.4 percent); Azerbaijan (by 29.7 percent), China (by 3.2 percent), Pakistan (by 56.4 percent), Kyrgyzstan (by 64.8 percent), Ukraine (by 70.8 percent) and Turkey (by 88.4 percent).
At the same time, significant growth was observed in export of fruit and vegetable products to such countries as Russia (by 50.5 percent), US (by 43.7 percent) and Tajikistan (by 21.2 percent).
