Export of Turkish cars to Iran drops

Export of cars from Turkey to Iran dropped by 15.12 percent from January through July 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, having amounted to $45.9 million, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend.

In July 2020, the export of cars from Turkey to Iran decreased by 19.09 percent compared to July 2019, amounting to $11.2 million.

The export of cars from Turkey to the world markets decreased by 28.7 percent from January through July 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, and amounted to $12.9 billion.

According to the ministry, Turkey’s export of cars for the reporting period made up 14.4 percent of the country's total export.

In July 2020, Turkey exported $2.2 billion worth of cars to the world markets, which is 24.1 percent less compared to the same month of 2019, the ministry said.

Turkey's export of cars for July 2020 amounted to 14.7 percent of the country's total export.

Over the past 12 months (from July 2019 through July 2020), Turkey exported the cars worth $25.4 billion abroad.
