A total of 5.2 million tons of cargo was loaded and unloaded at the Shahid Rajaee port of the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) in the 5-th month of the current Iranian year (July 22-August 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO).
According to the report, 3.19 million tons of goods were loaded and 2.01 million tons were unloaded at the port in the 5th month.
More than 2.53 million tons of goods were exported and 483,000 tons were imported through the port during this month, the report said.
“During the 5th month, 105,000 tons of goods were loaded and 211,000 tons were unloaded for transit through the Shahid Rajaee port,” the report added.
In addition, 504,000 tons of goods were loaded for cabotage, and 1.24 million tons were unloaded during the reporting period, the report noted.
According to the report, 14,500 tons of goods were loaded for transshipment and 30,900 tons were unloaded in the 5th month.
Over the fifth month, 31,400 tons were loaded and 37,300 tons were unloaded for other purposes.
“About 127,000 tons of essential products, 479,000 tons of metal products, 667,000 tons of construction materials and mining materials, 4,700 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 126,000 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded via the port in the 5th month,” the report said.
According to the report, 5,020 tons of leather, clothing, fiber, wood and other similar products, 5,200 tons of other goods, 1.02 million tons of container products and 2.77 million tons of oil products were loaded and unloaded.
In total, 5.93 million tons of goods were loaded and 4.08 million tons were unloaded through Iranian ports in the 5-th month.
