Georgia increases export of detergents and cleaning products, wax and candles to Azerbaijan

In the first 7 months of 2020, detergents and cleaning products, wax and candles in the amount of $453,500 were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan, Trend reports citing the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
Compared to the same period last year, the export of the above products has increased.
In January through July 2019, Georgia exported detergents and cleaning products, wax and candles to Azerbaijan in the amount of $317,200.
The external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to $6.03 billion from January through July 2020, 17.6 percent lower compared to the same period of 2019. The exports equaled $1.75 billion (16.8 percent lower), while the imports stood at $4.27 billion (17.9 percent lower).
From January through July 2020, the share of the top ten trading partners by exports in the total exports of Georgia amounted to 77.2 percent. The top-3 partners were China ($248.3 million), Azerbaijan ($230.7 million) and Russia ($229.1 million).
