Volume of cargo loaded, unloaded at Iran's Chabahar port revealed

A total of 239,000 tons of cargo was loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port of the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (southeastern Iran) in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 22-August 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO).

According to the report, 3,510 tons of goods were loaded and 235,000 tons were unloaded at the port in the 5th month.

During this month, 1,110 tons of goods were exported and 80,400 tons were imported through the Chabahar port.

“More than 1,810 tons of goods were loaded and 10,500 tons were unloaded for transit via the Chabahar port over 5th month,” the report said.

In addition, 144,000 tons of products were unloaded for cabotage at the port within the same period.

According to the report, 593 tons of goods were loaded for other purposes at the Chabahar port.

“About 75,100 tons of essential products, 714 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 44 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded in the first month,” the report noted.

At the same time, 175 tons of leather, clothing, fiber, wood and other similar goods, 291 tons of other goods, 18,200 tons of container products and about 144,000 tons of oil products were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port, the report added.

In total, 5.93 million tons of goods were loaded and 4.08 million tons were unloaded through Iranian ports in the 5th month.
