In the second quarter of 2020, compared to the same quarter of the previous year the volume of business sector turnover decreased by 11.5 percent and amounted to 22.3 billion laris ($7.2 billion) in Georgia, Trend reports citing the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
The production value of the business sector is characterized by a downward trend.
In the second quarter of 2020, its volume equaled to 9.2 billion laris ($3 billion), which is 18.3 percent less year-on-year.
In the reporting period, 58.8 percent of total turnover comes on large and 17.8 percent – on medium businesses while 23.4 percent is distributed to small businesses.
A small difference is in the case of total production value: 43.7 percent comes on large, 25.7 percent – on medium and 30.6 percent on small businesses.
