Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) under the Ministry of Economy plans to organize investment missions abroad, Acting President of the foundation Yusif Abdullayev said.
Abdullayev made the remark at a press conference on the foundation’s activity, Trend reports.
"The amount of AZPROMO's export incentives from 2016 to August 31, 2020 amounted to 23.26 million manat ($13.68 million)," he said.
According to him, in the past 8 months of this year, the amount of export incentives amounted to 6.3 million manat ($3.7 million).
"The amount of support paid for participation in exhibitions on an individual basis in 2016-2020 made up 111,630 manat ($65,600)," Abdullayev said.
AZPROMO is a joint public-private initiative created by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy in 2003 with the aim of promoting economic development by attracting foreign investment and stimulating exports in the non-oil sector. Its mission is to meet the needs of businessmen by providing targeted services, facilitating the flow of foreign investment and export in efficient ways.
Presently, seven trade houses of Azerbaijan function abroad.
