Iran discloses exports of Semnan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 6

As many as 96,000 tons of goods worth $79 million were exported from the Semnan Province (northern Iran) during the first 5 months of the current Iranian year (March 20-August 21, 2020), Chairman for Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Semnan Province Ali Teshnedel said, Trend reports citing the organization.

The chairman emphasized that the goods were mainly exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, the UAE, Pakistan, Russia, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.

Teshnedel added that during the reporting period, $360 million worth of goods were imported to Semnan Province.

"The imported goods were mainly production equipment, raw materials, chemicals, textiles, spare parts for household appliances, metal, automotive spare parts, etc.," he said.

The chairman noted that the manufacturing enterprises must increase the range of exported goods and take steps to identify markets.
