Volume of paid services in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan decreases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 11

The volume of paid services to the population in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic amounted to 143.3 million manats ($84.2 million) from January through August 2020, Trend reports referring to the report of Nakhchivan’s State Statistical Committee.

According to the report, the given figure decreased by 1.7 percent over the year.

In the first eight months of 2019, the volume of paid services to the population of Nakhchivan was over 144.5 million manats ($85 million), the report said.

The gross domestic product (GDP) in Nakhchivan increased by 0.7 percent in the first eight months if 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, amounting to 1.8 billion manats (over $1 billion).

The volume of GDP per capita in Nakhchivan increased by 1.4 percent year on year and amounted to 3,990 manats ($2,347).
