Buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange announced

More than 923,300 tons goods worth more than 84 trillion rials (about $2 billion) were sold on the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) last Iranian week (September 5-September 10), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

According to the report, there was an increase of 70 percent in terms of value and 98 percent in terms of volume compared to the preceding Iranian week (August 31-September 3).

“A total of 477,117 tons of goods worth 54.6 trillion rials (about $1.3 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section,” the report said.

More than 462,800 tons of steel, 6,540 tons of aluminum, 8,180 tons of copper, 12 tons of precious metal concentrate, 120 tons of molybdenum sulfur, 140 tons of zinc ingots and 10 kg of gold bars were sold in this section.

“At the same time, 440,856 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth 30 trillion rials (about $714 million) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section last week,” the report added.

According to the report, 106,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 165,000 tons of bitumen, 69,700 tons of polymeric substances, 42,200 tons of chemicals, 39,500 tons of lube cut, 1,310 tons of moisture-resistant coatings, 2,100 tons of base oil, 140 tons of argon, 14,200 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.
